The Chipmunk Scurry is an unofficial section of Outdoor Service Guides. The Chipmunk section is created by scouting groups with an interest in providing purposeful play to the littlest siblings of older scouts who come to meetings and outings.

Chipmunk meetings are an opportunity for these little ones to take part in an organized play date of sorts so that they can have constructive group time while the Otters and Timberwolves have their meetings. The goal is to keep Chipmunks engaged and interested in scouting while working on following directions, sharing, memory games and having fun through song and craft, all with an awareness of and attention to the natural world. This formal fun will turn into scouting once the Chipmunk turns 5-years-of-age.
